This supercar in the footsteps of the legendary F40, F50 and Enzo. The mix between the V12 engine and the electric motor allows the Ferrari challenge the Porsche 918 Spyder and McLaren P1. Price of LaFerrari is much higher compared to its competitors (416,000 $ for P1 and 735,000 $ for 918) but no matter since the 499 copies already sold out.
TECHNICAL
The V12 6.3 L rotates to 9250 rev/min and develops 800 hp at 9000 rev/min. Its power is 128 hp/l, while the maximum torque of 900 NM at 6750 rev/min. The engine is assisted by an electric motor connected directly to the non- differential and gearbox . This electric block rotates 16,500 rev / min and develops 163 hp and 200 NM. With batteries, the weight of the hybrid system is 146 kg, or about half that of the 918 system . Latter is heavier but also touted to be stronger , to check on the long term. The electric motor LaFerrari is not only lighter but it improves the acceleration of the order of 20% and halved the CO2 emissions. The rejection of the latter is measured on a very specific range, supports the use of the electric motor range and therefore low energy pure essence.
Performance figures are put forward: from 0 to 100 km/h is performed in less than 3 seconds, 0 to 200 in less than 7 seconds. Lap time on the Fiorano circuit is 1 min 20 sec, 5 seconds less than Enzo and 3 less than a F12 Berlinetta. These features make this car Ferrari's most powerful in the history series. The top speed is announced to over 350 km/h. The excellent performance combined with CO2 emissions of around 220 g/km in hybrid mode, it is less emissions than a Lotus Exige !
The front and rear diffuser are used to direct the best airflow, the flat bottom plate the car to the ground as a race car and the rear spoiler droops when driving conditions require. DRIVING

The balance between grip and traction is extremely well calibrated, so that one knows what happens between the front and rear of the car. This is even more impressive hypercar on the track, I went to Fiorano several times, but with this car, the circuit really seemed small. LaFerrari literally swallows the track, the motor is expressed completely straight and it connects corners like no car has ever done . Everything is so immediate, intense and explosive, while on the road, she is docile and accessible. The steering response gives great ease of driving on the road but also high precision circuit. We are accustomed to changes in lightning reports, but here LaFerrari is a notch above what we ever tried. The shifts are so rapid that there is no interruption in thrust, downshifts are almost instantaneous. Do you feel one with the car in gear changes, it is incredibly fast.
Similarly, the brakes are exceptional, especially considering that Ferrari is further than Porsche recycling the kinetic energy generated during braking phases, even when the ABS operates. The efficiency is at its optimum. In this regard, the McLaren P1 can be held the advantage in terms of accuracy but only in the final phase of braking. We will come back to that in a comparo. Also note that the McLaren lacks energy during braking recovery system, its electric motor is recharged through the use of the engine.
How Ferrari manages to combine explosive performance and feel exploitable control is a miracle. The homogeneity of the chassis/engine/aerodynamics is truly exceptional.
COMPETE
On paper the perfs of LaFerrari surpass its rivals McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder, but the real difference is the driving experience. It is also more expensive than its rivals, but that we do not care (probably customers too). The only way to decide is to try both 3 under different conditions, needless to say that we will move heaven and earth to offer you that!
OTHERWISE
LaFerrari offers 6 cm more space available height, convenient to the head of the great people, but it is both 3 cm less 'high' that Enzo. This gain is made ​​possible by the more elongated driving position and seat reworked. The seat is directly attached to the tubing while the settings take place only on the side of the pedals and steering wheel.
